Coming out to Heeman’s to Pick Your Own strawberries is an annual highlight for many local families. We’re happy to host you to harvest your own fruit this year and experience how yummy strawberries are when you pick them yourself.

Thanks For Planning A Visit To Our Family Farm!

Before you come, what you need to know:

Sold by Container, not by Weight

Charging by volume will allow our staff to ensure you have a great time at our farm without having to handle your picked produce.

The price of the basket is based on the value of a full basket, so make sure to choose a basket that you would like to fill! Prices do not change based on how full your basket is.

You Must Use a Heeman's Basket

No baskets or buckets from home can be used, unless they are a Heeman basket from a previous year.

All basket are purchased before picking and sales are FINAL; no refunds will be provided so select the basket size that's best for you and fill it before you leave to get your moneys worth!

Please note there is a minimum purchase of 1L or Qrt per person over 5yrs old in your group. For example if you have 8 people in your group you can purchase a 6 Quart and 2 Litre basket.

Payment

We accept cash, as well as Debit, Visa and Mastercard. You select your basket size and pay before entering the field. This allows you to know your costs before picking, not lose your wallet in the field, and you can leave after you're done, with no need to wait in line to pay.

Be Prepared for the Weather

There is no shade out in the berry patch so dress accordingly! Wear comfortable shoes, bring a hat, put on some sunscreen and remember to bring a water bottle to stay hydrated!

We kindly ask that you leave any backpacks/bags/large purses in your vehicle while picking, as we don't allow them in the field.

No Furry Friends Please

Please leave all pets at home when visiting the berry field. As much as we love dogs here at Heeman's, for food safety reasons, we don't permit pets in the PYO patch. Pets are always welcome to visit the greenhouse location though!

Please do not leave your pets in the car.
