Fresh sweet corn has a taste you can't beat...

...and the corn at Heeman's is the freshest around! That's because we have it delivered field fresh every day from Aarden Farms, just a few roads over from us, we refrigerate it immediately and pull it out right before you buy it. Normally in season sometime in July and available until Thanksgiving! Keeping sweet corn cool is the trick to great taste. It slows the sugars from converting to starch. Also, keeping the husk on the cob for as long as you can, right up until cooking will lock in the freshness and flavour! We love working with the Aarts family because they share our obsession with flavourful, fresh local food! They've been our trusted sweet corn supplier for years. With the latest varieties and by using a raised bed and irrigation, sweet corn is usually in season from mid-July available until early October.
