Remaining in place, caring for our plants

Dear friends,

Many of you have written or called to enquire about whether Heeman’s will remain open and if you can continue to get the gardening supplies you turn to us for at this time of year.

Our family and staff remain committed to helping to flatten the curve and to do our part as community members to reduce the spread of Covid-19. We also understand the importance of the work we do to so many of you.

That is why we want to assure you all that our team remains here in the greenhouse and in the berry fields, preparing our crops, from veggie seedlings and perennials to strawberries and bedding plants, for the spring and summer when you’ll need them.

We are taking extra precautions to protect our staff, which we’ve mentioned in previous communications, and continue to strive to offer them a safe work environment while they are here working with us to ensure May flowers will come after the April showers ahead.

While we continue to remain closed for traditional retail sales, since our voluntary closure on March 18th, we are still here for you. We are offering Online Shopping with a growing catalogue of items for purchase, we also take orders over the phone Monday to Saturday.

VISIT OUR ONLINE STORE

Those placing phone or online orders can choose local delivery or contactless curbside pick-up, similar to how you might order food from your favourite delivery or take out restaurant.

We continue to plan for spring and miss you all as much as you’ve told us you miss visiting. We look forward to once again welcoming you out to the farm and greenhouses. But, until then, stay safe, wash your hands and know we’re here for you for all your gardening, cider and produce needs. We’re only a click or phone call away.

Kindly,

Will Heeman
On behalf of the Heeman family
