Absolutely! We love it when pets come to visit, as long as they are well behaved and you agree to help clean up after them should any accidents happen! We have seen many dogs, cats, parrots and lizards here at Heeman’s and they will always get some love from people in the orange shirts.

It is! We recently did some improvements to help with flattening out part of our greenhouse to make sure it’s a smooth ride! With nice wide aisles, there is room to turn around comfortably. We also have a wheelchair accessible washroom near the back of the main walkway.

Yes! We understand that sometimes it’s not just you that’s gotta go. In situations where babe needs changing you’ll find a change table and diaper bin in our family / accessible washroom. There’s also extra space inside to roll in your stroller if needed.

We are open year-round, 7 days a week. Our hours change based on the season, so the best place to check is our Visit Us page which is always up to date! Hope to see you soon!

That is a big question! Heeman’s is one of Ontario’s largest greenhouses and garden centres that offer loads of annuals, perennials, houseplants, trees, shrubs, veggies, garden solutions, pots, handheld garden tools and outdoor decor! In addition to the plants we sell, we also offer delicious coffees, and desserts at our Berry Beanery, unique ciders and meads made right here on the farm, fresh in-season Ontario produce like strawberries and sweet corn, as well as offering the pick your own strawberry experience in late June every year.

Our pick your own season usually lasts about 2ish weeks, and starts sometime around mid to late June depending on the Spring weather we had. Keep an eye on our social media and the Pick Your Own page for more information!

The Berry Beanery is our version of a delicious little coffee shop on the corner. Offering a wide range of hot and cold beverages and desserts including espresso based drinks, milkshakes and famous strawberry sundaes. Interested in learning more about the beanery? The Berry Drive Thru was created during COVID (maybe one of the only good things to come out of that whole thing!?) but you love it so much that we have decided to keep it around. It’s incredibly handy when you have a sleeping baby in the back seat. We have a large cooled shipping container unit set up in the parking lot, where you can drive up and grab locally grown, fresh produce without having to leave your vehicle. Any fresh produce that we have in stock will be offered at both the drive thru and the Berry Bearnery including strawberries, blueberries, sweet corn, peaches asparagus and more. Debit, Visa, Mastercard and cash accepted. Check our Visit Us page for Drive Thru operating hours in season.

It’s one of the best gifts you can give in our opinion! Head on over to this page to purchase your gift card online. You can also pop into the greenhouse anytime during our operating hours and buy one from the customer service desk. If you don’t love buying online, but don’t have time to stop by, give us a call at 519.461.1416 and one of our Daymakers can certainly help!

Yes! A Heeman’s gift card can be used to purchase anything from seeds and soils to strawberries and cider. We just ask that all purchases with gift cards be made at the flower checkout area. If you’re grabbing strawberries or produce, just order at the Berry Beanery and a Daymaker will direct you to the right till to redeem your gift card after you have your order.

Sorry, gift cards aren’t accepted in the Drive-Thru due to technology restrictions (we are’t able to put a full checkout computer with our POS system out in the parking lot!). You’re welcome to order inside at the Berry Beanery though, we can assist you there.

Oh no! That’s a bummer. We take great pride in selling some of the best quality plants around, but sometimes, things happen. Take a look at our hardy plant guarantee for the full details on returning applicable trees, shrubs and perennials.

Whether you change your mind or it’s just not the right one, Heeman’s is happy to exchange or return all non-plant items purchased from our garden centre that are in the original, salable condition. Full refunds offered if returned within 14 days of purchase. Proof of purchase is required. See our full refund & exchange policy for all the details!

Oh, that is a bummer! But, if you do have to cancel, please do it as soon as possible by calling us at 519.461.1416 during business hours. For a full refund, you must cancel at least 48hrs in advance of the workshop or event. Your deposit is non-refundable within 48hrs of your event. That is also a bummer, and hopefully this doesn’t happen! But if it does, all fees will be fully refunded if the event is canceled. If the event is being rescheduled and you are unable to attend the new date, you will also receive a full refund. If you are able to attend a rescheduled event, all funds paid will be transferred to the new date, easy peasy lemon squeezy. See our full cancellation policy for all the details!
